UNIRAIL  TRANSIT  SYSTEMS  is an overhead suspended system developed by the French "SAFEGE" group during the 1950's and franchise sold in the 1960's to General Electric, Mitsubishi, and Siemens.  Mitsubishi built two lines in Japan, Siemens two in Germany, G.E. had lines planed for Washington DC, San Francisco, and Houston:  However, due to the political climate, cheap gas, inexpensive import autos, G.E. cancelled its efforts and its SAFEGE rights passed to UNIRAIL.   UNIRAIL has up-graded & up-dated these proven global lines that (at last count) have transported over 850 million passengers more than 5 billion passenger miles without an accident  (in perspective;  5 billion miles is equivalent to about 21,000 trips to our Moon).       UNIRAIL's time is NOW!   a)   Unirail will create 20,000 jobs with the first 1,000 miles of new lines. b)   Unirail will generate 20 mega watts of electricity per hour per mile in 12 mph winds.   For example:   A 100 mile line over 8 hours will create: (20 mw / mile x 100 miles x 8 hours) = 16,000 mega watts To put this into perspective, a Nuclear Power Plant with four 750 mw generator units creates (750 x 4) = 3,000mw x 8 hrs = 24,000mw. However, the wind is free and the cost of Unirail's wind mill electric generating system is a mere fraction of the cost of large nuclear and fossil fuel power plants. c)  Unirail is the most economical of  all  transit systems (standard rail, light rail, monorail, whatever); and, can share existing right-of ways.
